Let’s Rally! Ride the Hill Country Biker Trail

The thrill, the camaraderie, the adventure of the open road. It’s all coming our way once again this summer!

The Republic of Texas Motorcycle Rally - now in its 25th year -  is back in town. From June 9th to 12th, bikers from across the country and around the world will come together in Texas Hill Country for the biggest, baddest, turnstile (ticketed) event in the USA.

Four days of live music, custom bikes, one-of-a-kind vendors, and warm Texas hospitality await at Mere’s Reserve in Bastrop - a lovely ride away from Hotel Viata. All rally long performers including the Reverend Horton Heat, Foghat, Ray Wylie Hubbard, and more of the best acts in the business will take to the main stage.

Scenic Rides

The rolling foothills, open fields, and sparkling rivers of Hill Country make for stunning rides along the twists, turns and stretches of wide-open road. Plan a day trip to these nearby charming towns to experience authentic Texas cuisine and local wineries, breweries and distilleries - all in a biker-friendly atmosphere.

Driftwood

A quick 30 minute ride from Hotel Viata, beautiful Driftwood is home to the famous Salt Lick BBQ, its oversized smoking pit, and recipes dating back to the wagon trains. Along with the wineries and breweries in this Hill Country gem, you’ll find America’s only sotol distillery - a must-see for agave-based spirit fans.

Dripping Springs

A top spot for visitors, this little town offers authentic Hill Country experiences just a 40-minute ride away. Swim jade waters beneath a 50-foot waterfall at Hamilton Pool preserve, savor a flight of vodka at the many distilleries, and enjoy natural beauty around every turn.

Wimberly

Find one-of-a-kind antiques,  authentic cowboy boots fit by the “boot whisperer,” and more truly Texas souvenirs in Wimberly’s charming shops, or go for a dip in the famous Blue Hole swimming hole. Delicious pit BBQ, rum distilleries, and wineries make the destination just as satisfying as the 50-minute journey to get there.

Fredericksburg

Voted “the Prettiest Town in Texas” by Architectural Digest, this Hill Country charmer attracts culture-lovers, foodies, nature-hounds, and shoppers in equal measure. Stroll through galleries, have a flight at the wineries or distilleries, or simply take in the sights - all just 1.5 hours away.

After a day of non-stop fun, return to Hotel Viata for a retreat among the trees. Relax poolside with a signature cocktail, unwind over artisanal Italian favorites on our patio, or connect with like-minded others at our elegant bar. Then return to the luxe comfort of your guestroom to recharge in luxury for another day of riding and rallying.
